1 - can you pitch up from the zero point = E ?

2- can you set up the arm position to a point that you llike ,and it will stay

1. If you set it up so it is Floating, Yes. Or, as on the Luke 1, if it is back routed and it comes stock setup Floating.

2. Yes, you can set the arm so it spins freely or that it is Very hard to turn... and anywhere in between.

Shimi-----you will find that a Floyd is a different beast indeed. It will take some getting used to as far as maintenence and restringing and setup--but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. I like floyds for certain stuff-----Vai , Satch type stuff where you are really using the bar. For most subtle whang bar stuff like Beck and Gilmor I prefer a traditional type bridge. Most people seem to fell that a Floyd type bridge adds a little more bottom end to the guitar sound---although I cant personally attest to this. I like my trems set up floating ,like on the Luke, not really for the ability to bend up----but for the ability to hear the trem flutter( a Beck effect)---you'll hear it when plucking strings with your fingers or hitting the bridge.

i remember when i try floyd r for a short time it seems to me a little bit harder system then a kahler , i dont know if some of you used kahler -but its really soft one

im using it in a middle of a frase not just like vai satch etc....... just one touch in a middle of frase its really sound cool .

when i asked about bending i meant with fingers - normally , if the floyd doesnt changing position and tense on the string when you bend with fingers ???

with a kahler for example i can bend with the arm at least one and half tone up easlly

I set up all my Lukes with 2 springs in the back. Bending feels pretty much the same
with either bridge. The Luke with the standard bridge is a bit brighter in my opinion.
My Lukes with the Floyds seem to have more sustain as well.
