Need some help from the tech geeks in here
I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Gotoh Floyd and its trem arm. In order to remove it you gotta take off the back plate, remove the screw in the back and the trem arm pops out etc etc. This is great that is stays on all the time but tedious and takes too long when you need to remove it. I know the MM cases are made in a way so the arm can be left on, but sometimes its easier to just take a gig bag instead and not have to carry around a heavier case. With the trem arm still in the bridge it won't fit in a gig bag.
So I'm wondering if an old style OFR nut assembly (which I prefer) will fit on a Gotoh Floyd. Specifically this one:
Its the old style screw in nut, not the new one where the bar has the collar attached. So it looks like this:
My guess would be yes, because the Gotoh has pretty much the same dimensions as an OFR except for a few bits but does anyone know for sure? Of course I would then use an OFR bar instead of the Gotoh one. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
