about 6 weeks ago I had my Luke refretted with stainless steel frets, medium jumbos... at the time I was very satisfied with the job... it felt great and the guitar was wonderful... I thought I'd live with it for a while before reporting back... well I'm now thinking about having some other guitars done this way... I totally love this Luke now... it is beautiful to play... it's well known here that I had issues with the smaller frets on my Luke... but now I couldn't be happier... I'd love to get a second Luke and do this also.....

yeah man, i cant see it too well. take another pic! lol

so what did you notice that changed from the tone?? Perhaps a bit brighter, or cant you tell the difference??
How long did you have the Luke for to refret by the way??

By the way, dont mean to hijack the thread, but my Axis and me are getting along better. I put 9's on it, and it performs waaaaay better with them. Does that sound crazy??? Well they work better on all accounts.

the tone is the same as before.... the guitar sustains a lot better now.. and seems to ring better... bending notes is a lot easier and overall it's just effortless to play now... I know not everone is into stainless steel frets and some have reported that the tone is brighter... I haven't found this at all...

I don't really notice any difference on string wear either on my axis with stainless frets. But then again, I change them every week. Not really an issue here.:D

I also change my strings often, at least once a week.... I really like the stainless frets.... just my opinion....

I know several full time musicians that have stainless frets. They all claim that the strings wear out much quicker than usual. The frets are still good though
I'm a full time musician.... it's my job, how I pay for things... there are so many factors at play here, your own chemical make up.. ie. how you sweat... everyone is different....

Very true,

I dont have acidic sweat at all and my strings last forever on my guitars. I still change them kinda often even though i play for kicks. But i still play the begeebers outta them.
