Last night I played a gig and noticed after about 30 minutes of playing that the bass was sounding real weird. Looked down and saw that the screws on the neck pickup had worked loose (from the vibration I guess) and the the pickup was about a millimeter away from the strings! I broke my nail trying to screw it back in for the rest of the set (didn't happen to have a screw driver in my pocket). Has anyone experienced this?

I might put some very low strength locktight in the adjustment holes to keep the screws in place.

The same thing happened to me! I set up my stuff long before the show, so I could play around with my tone and everything. Everything seemed fine then, but in the middle of the first song, the neck pickup popped out and was completely AGAINST the strings. Needless to say, I had to hang the Bongo up for the rest of the night. After the show, I screwed it back in place and thought everything was peachy. The next night, the very same thing happened. I packed it away for the rest of the tour and took it to a shop when I got home, because I just figured the threads were stripped and I had no idea what to do about that. The shop fixed it with no charge, like it was no big deal, though. It hasn't happened again since then. *knocks on wood*
