I believe what we have hear is an example of the elusive Metal Flake Brown. Ebay
I was under the assumption that it would look uglier than that, but I actually think it llooks pretty cool. I will add this to my finishes guide later tonight.

I kinda like it too...wouldn't look out of place in a '70s funk show!

It's not a bad color reminds me of a 70's Skylark color. :D

I, too, noticed this auction and wondered about the color. Looks cool to me.

Eating chillies at every meal is the norm here, but that won't kill these little fuggers. I'm nuking them for 10 days with antibiotics of mass destruction.

I also like the fact that the headstock is painted to match the marble pickguard....interesting.
