There weren't any basses within reach, but there was beer. Aussie Mark meets up with bassmonkey for a couple of beers at a pub in Perth while I was visiting the outlaws over Christmas. By all accounts, the good doctor is loving his new country of abode and doesn't miss the English weather or warm beer.

There's certainly a lot to do here, that's for sure. With a young family that's a big plus of living here. Shame about the traffic and the cost of housing (although Perth house prices seem just as high)
