The Guitar Emporium in Louisville KY has a 20th silo with a tasty flame top and rw fb for a excellent price. I drove down there today to specifically check out that guitar cuz I've heard so much about them. Pretty nice piece! The neck was a fine example of Birdseye and felt splendid. It had a nice, resonant acoustic tone unplugged. Unfortunately I didn't have time to plug it in but I'm sure it sounded marvelous. I did like the multi-layered body, very sexy.

I do wonder though if somebody from EB should call them about the state of their basses which are mostly in pretty rough shape. All of them except for a 2007 LE Sterling (EXCELLENT playing bass) and a white SR5HH were filthy and in desperate need of neck adjustments. I almost asked for a tool with which to tweak them but once again didn't have time. Other issues on other guitars (like a broken string on a Silo hanging on the wall) which need attention but those were the ones most worth mentioning.

Hey thanks for bringing that to our attention. We just want to let everyone know we have gone through our Music Man stock to make sure it is in tip top, ready to go shape. We try to maintain a constant supply of guitars and basses in stock. If we can be of service to any of you out there, please let us know here at Guitar Emporium. You can check us out online at Guitar Emporium of Louisville Vintage Guitars.

I spoke with the store the other day when the thread came up. It's a nice looking 20th at a decent price, but it is used. The guy at the store was helpful to talk to and said they were the original seller and the purchaser was a local doctor that doesn't gig and goes through a variety of gear so there is minimal wear. They got it back last month If you e-mail them they'll send you a photo.

so what if it is slightly used? Got mine just like this (via Da-Bay) from one of our fellow forumites - the shape she was in was so perfect, I could care less it was not "new". What I could care for though, was the price reduction I got because of it.

Just my 2 cents, but that's a killer price for that killer guitar!
