$600 out the door for a trans red, ash hardtail Sport with an H/S/S pickup config and black pickguard. Let me tell y'all, if it would have been trans blue, I would've walked out the door with it. I would have modded it with a vintage-type Telecaster bridge assembly and we would've been cookin' with serious gas then....

It seems people freak out a lot when they find EBMM at GC in the States. Is there a shortage of stock down there, or what?! Just curious!

Well I think the point was the price, but in General at GC you wont find the type of stock you have or Pete D or Bass Central has, but they are coming around right now the GC in Dallas I frequent has the ost in stock i have ever seen.

Now why the hell did you not take that baby home, first great price, and everyone needs color diversity in their gear, plus Red guitars rule:D

Buy it,
Buy it,
Go back, and buy it.
Now;)
I read your other thread about wanting to make a T*** type guitar.
And then this one practically drops into your lap......
Serendipity surely ?

I know, I know. The guitar played soooo good and sounded awesome...

For those of you that talk about EBMM guitar shortages in stores, remember, this was a "Sport" and not a "Super Sport"....

i have a trans blue sport hss :)

its awesome

I really didn't need to read that. I have a Morse that's pretty much brand new that I would seriously think about trading for a trans blue Sport...

Compared to what I've seen from your store, that sure seems to be the case around here!

At the GC's here anyway (Minnesota, Twin Cities area) I haven't seen much at all for EBMM's.

The GC store by me has had maybe 1 - 4 (at most) for EBMM guitars and a few basses at any one time, from what I've seen. So either they get snatched up real quick or they just don't bother carrying many of them....

Recently they had one standard JP6 and one Luke.

They had one honeyburst ASS there for a looong time, but that finally sold - and when I've asked about more Axis/ASS's, they tell me that they probably weren't getting any more because they don't sell enough of them.

I asked about the BFR's at the GC by me, to which the reply was, "we're not cool enough at this store to have those. You would probably have to go to the GC "Platinum Store" to see them. THEY are the COOL store.

So a couple weeks ago I took a drive over to this so-called "Platinum Store", hoping to actually see some EBMM's and especially to finally see the BFR's in person, but all they had was one EBMM guitar in the whole store - a standard JP6.
I asked someone if there were any other EBMM's, and he said they had a couple recently, but they sold around christmas.

In fact, when I asked a different guy specifically about the EBMM "BFR's", he looked at me blankly and said, "no, we don't have those."

I said, "BFR - Ball Family Reserve - you don't carry those?..."

The guy says, "ooohhh, Ball Family Reserve..."BFR"...duh, sorry...umm, well we had one Petrucci a while ago, but it sold"....

Over in the bass section they had a couple Bongos (which were sweet!) and a couple other nice EBMM basses.

The only real "unique" things to me at the store were a $30,000 black '65 strat, SRV's $17,000 beat-up "Lenny" strat, the Gibson double-neck like Jimmy Page's, and two or three $4,000 - $5,000 PRS's all stuck in a little back room in a glass case.

Needless to say, I left there empty-handed...

I was not impressed by the "Platinum Store" overall.
From the sound of it, I guess I was kind of expecting this big, glorious, Mecca-of-all-things-guitar...

So if there's anyone from the twin cities area here that knows of the place to go check out some EBMM's, then please let me know, because I sure haven't found it.

I've yet to go to willie's, but I hear great things.

Roseville had a nice few ASS's, a 20th Silo, and Luke a while ago, but that was it. Last time I went to the one in Edina I walked out with my honeyburst ASS. They had a couple petrucci's (including one BFR), a Luke, and a Rosewood ASS.

Back to the topic here....

That is an absolutely outstanding price for that guitar. Someone needs to grab it while there's still a chance.

That guitar has been there since the beginning of October.
While that HSS Sport has been sitting there for months at a a great price, imagine how many craptastic Strats, Deans, and Schecters flew out the door at Christmas.
