So while I was replacing the potentimeters on my Silhouette yesturday, I noticed that there was a sticker on the tone pot. By the way my Silo is brand new only couple of months old. So it had a date on it of 8-22-05 and also said 12LB! So does this sticker say the B-day of the guitar, and I'm assuming that 12LB is the total weight of the Silo! Am I correct, and does every new EBMM have this sticker? If so, the people that want to know the B-day of their geetar, they can just check the pot for the sticker info, unless the pots were changed at some point along the way like on mine, but I am NEVER selling it, so does not concern me!!!!!!!

If your Silhouette is that heavy, it's double the average weight of the typical Silo. I think it means something else-Jon?

The date is probably the date the potentiometer was made, and the 12LB could be a lot number or something.

That's my guesstimation.

Well the date WAS very close to when I recieved the Silo.

hahahaha, good one mbgreene!:) Well it's not so special any more since I ripped it out of the geetar. It's sitting on my desk all helpless and useless. But speak of the pot going to 12, that's what the Silo sounds like now when I put in the 500Ks :D .

The date is when the pickup assembly was built, not when the guitar was built. I think the 12LB that you are seeing is in reality RLB, the guy who put the assembly together.

AAAHHHHAAAAAA!!!! Thanks for clearing that up Jon ;) ! But it looks like 12LB to my eyes, and I am not blind or nearing there (I hope!). But whatever, it's nothing much of significance anyway. Cheers!
