That was sweet! The real difficulty in that piece is all in the right hand and not just the tempo but getting that authentic funky rhythm. It usually is the mellowest type guy who can tear your face off.

I've seen a couple of player do this on acoustic, most notably Preston Reed. Went to a clinic in the late 90's and the guy blew my mind. Justin King (YT Knock on wood at NAMM 2004, quite impressive) and Eric Mongrain (like Air Tap) are a couple others that use these techniques.

Very cool, it's a cool technique to get all kinds of funkiness out of the guitar. Nice Silo too :D

You guys hear of Andy McKee and what he does on the acoustic? And Guthrie Govan does some crazy slap guitar playing as well...insanely rhythmical stuff.

His whole album is awesome! He also did a rendition of it on 6 String Theory with Lee Ritenour with some accompaniment which gives it even more of a laid back vibe. I still have to get that album...Lukather is on it as well and Guthrie Govan and bunch of other axe slingers hehe.

Thats the attitude Lou, go for it and you will get it! It is tabbed out in the new Guitar World with the great Bob Marley on the cover.

Speaking of sick acoustic players, the late Michael Hedges I think was an alien as that guy could do the most amazing things that just made your jaw drop. Also Tuck Andress is another player with a mind boggling style, the guy sounds like 4 guitarist at once.
