really? how many of you have seen it? Have we seen it? Please this is why using the forum to vent customer service issues is not fair to anyone. I have been around guitars for all of my life and I would not make a definitive diagnosis of the issue based on those photos...let us do our job...if we fail then fire away. You guys see my sig line? there is a reason for it.

absolutely no proof that a figured neck is more prone to this kind of stuff...if it was we wouldnt use it

Used guitar would mean no warrantee coverage.

So first of all that is a case of having used... questionable... wood. I would just replace it, warranty or not, and make these pictures disappear. Hush hush. Some lousy $800 bucks aren't worth the negative PR.

Second. $800 for a vanilla maple neck? Sure it has a painted neckplate but that's stupid in the first place.

If I was a jerk I would moisture/heat/clamp, get it playable and sell it. Really don't know what to do now. If I did get it replaced I would want to send the entire thing to get re-set up, but shipping would be another $80 at least, and who know how long since they would have to make a neck from scratch. Really disappointing.

If you pay full price for a new neck anyway, why wouldn't they just send the neck instead of shipping the whole guitar with case cross country - twice. That's what a total of $960?

We should close this. Original intent was looking for possible fixes, outcomes, etc for the couple days over the weekend to give me some hope or ideas to try and straighten, what everyone thought other options might be or previous experiences with used guitars issues and CS. My last email to CS inquired about turnaround time so we'll see what they say.

but oupt really? we used bad wood? Im glad you arent a doctor...or a judge...

look at all the things you are presuming and accusing us of.... and none of us has seen the guitar....

raise your hands if our customer service has been unfair? we always try to do the very best we can for the customer....save the shots for when we dont.

Also where is the dealer on this that sold it to the customer? Has he/she been given the chance to fix it?
