So I bought my Petrucci 6 January 25...registered online Jan 26th....

Still no free string as promised in the documentation that comes with it.. why?

So I have to send in the reg to get the free strings? Does it not work online?

I registered each of my Petrucci's online and got my strings. Took a little while, but I got them. You should see your any day now. I believe it took about as long as yours. Maybe a moderator can help on this one with an answer?!?:(

This was covered before...one gal there at EBMM handles all requests for free strings, and that's on top of her regular day to day duties as well (I think part of her job desc. involves holding up the building!). Now, if EBMM only sold 2-3 guitars a day, you'd receive the strings super quick. But life just doesn't work that way, and that's a good thing. :)

If you've registered, rest assured you will get your strings. It won't be an overnight thing, and I would hope that you don't plan on using them as immediate spares (LOL), but you'll get them. Just as the old adage goes, good things come to those that wait.

Finally, they're free, stop complaining. And it's a hell of a gesture that EBMM makes for customer satisfaction. Ask Fender folks what they get after registration...goose eggs.

Pardon the bluntness, just tellin' it like it is. :)

Who said I was complainging? I asked a question, no one really gave me an answer.

Kiss my ass, all I wanted to know was what was going on.

Warg,

If you thought that I was chastising you directly or singling you out about this issue (which apparently you did), then please accept my apologies. I was simply trying to cover the two points as mentioned before:

1. Re: string requests, things take time, and one person can only do so much, but a promise is a promise, and good things come to those that wait (how was THAT for melding cliches together? LOL)

2. It could be worse; you could get nothing more than a thank you and a pat on the back for buying someone's product. At least EBMM shows a little more gratitude than the other guys.

My post was meant to be general on the subject in the good 'ol Darrell way, with no direction/implication intended to you. Didn't mean for you to think that I was bustin' yer chops, bro...I tell folks to take my sarcasm/smart assness (is that a word?) in stride, unless you know me to be serious. The only thing that I'm serious about on this forum is my passion for this company and the products that they produce. I'm 100% smart ass otherwise, and that's my style...I apologize if I upset you, but not for being me.

I'm glad you got your strings, Warg...make 'em sing. :)

Killer.....you cats are some funny dudes! All this "assness" and "kiss my ass"....lol.....just like family I say. Thanks for the 411 on this. I must agree, they take time, but if only one person is working the mines, it goes kinda slow. No problemo....EB rocks free strings and all!

Warg....put them strings on and make yourself a million dollars bro!

I must apologize too. I was having a bad day that day.

I'm usually the same way.... once in a while, wheeeew...look out... that was actually mild compared to...well, in any case, I apologize for taking it out on you. And I can see where you're coming from in that post in general. In fact, I agree. :)

I'm happy now though... YAY strings! and such..

A family? What what? naw....

*whisper* hey, bro, could you lend me $1500 for a petrucci guitar... we're family and everything...

:):D :D :D:)

Yay...everything's happy in EBMM land! :)

I was kinda wonderin' about that, Warg...you seem very low key and laid back usually, so that was a little out of character, caught me off guard. I hear ya tho, brotha...the wrong button on the Big D Machine gets pushed, the first song you hear in your head is "Run to the Hills". :)

Glad to see that we could get things cleaned up...we're both old enough, I'm sure, to know better than that, and not waste time on some BS flame war, that I'd have to ultimately delete once done anyhow! :) It's about peace and love, and good happiness stuff.

So, as before, make 'em sing bro, and no I'm not giving you any damn money! :p

Later...

Well Warg....like all family's, there are those you don't lend money too. So, I love ya, but, ahem, No.

But there is hope, I do have a will and if you are within "the family circle" again, I will leave you my mystic dream....

Nice try though, I have been begging these new moderators for a carbon blue petrucci with piezo. Still no luck with them, but I will get one somehow!!

Now, you take them high dollar free strings and make a million and then you can tell me no when I ask for a loan.....:D
