I own item #1 of this limited BFR run and while looking to sell it on Reverb I've been asked to confirm if the frets are stainless steel.. I think they are and have listed it as such but can anyone here clarify for me if they are?

Here's the link to the EB listing from when purchased new.. BFR Axis (Ernie Ball Music Man Axis with Rosewood Top)

And here's the link to my Reverb ad with a bunch of pictures... Reverb Axis (Ernie Ball Music Man Axis (BFR, Limited Edition) | Reverb)

Thank you all for the feedback!

My guess is that they're stainless steel. It's a more durable metal composite and more rust resistant. If the fret material isn't mentioned in their serial number database, then why don't you just contact EB directly? Someone there should have the answer for you. Without engaging in chemical tests there's a couple things you can do test-wise. In some cases stainless steel will attach to a magnet. If a strong magnet attaches itself to the frets, them they're stainless steel. But even if they don't they still could be stainless steel. Steel has a bluish tint to it and is more shiny than nickel.
