Bueno,
Question to my fellow E.B./ Musicman owners. Do you have the problem of the frets " Sprouting", sharp fret end's? it seem's this time of year, the sharp ends of the frets sprout out. Is this common with Ernie's? Just curious to know if anybody else's E.B. 5 has this problem.

Feliz Navidad and Feliz Ano Nuevo!

ahh, not so sure about common with MMs but I know that this can happen with climates that have some severe humidity changes. Is it quite pronounced? has it happened before(i'm assuming it has from your post)

It can happen to any bass that's exposed to big climate changes. I had a pre-EB that did it once during shipping.

Very rare...but I have heard of it happening before

It happened to my Sterling shortly after I purchased it in '96. I sent it back to EB and they fixed it right away. No issues in the last 8 years = great bass.

Yes, this is the second winter that this has happened. The past week here in the Upper Peninsula has been cold, (minus 12 Fri, and minus 13 Sunday morn.).
Don't know if this is something I should have a tech look at, maybe to file the fret end's.

Also, Fuzzy, you got me! Happy New Year! That's better!
