Hi there,
I own a JP Dargie II with the Ebony Fretboard
(ye it rocks:)
anyhow, i wanted to know how to clean it (fretboard)
is it safe to use only with ErnieBall conditioner?
cause i saw that some conditioners aren't good for maple for example
what's the best way to keep the fretboard "alive"?
also, i want to clean the strings every once in a while
is it ok for the wipes to touch the fretboard?

i dont have any plans to use products other than EB, but if i ever take it for set-up or so, i want to be able to tell my guy what he can and cannot use.

thanks.. =)

The Wonder Wipes fretboard conditioner is fine for Ebony. I also have a Dargie II JP and those wipes work wonders for that fretboard.

Wonder Wipes are great. I keep a stockpile of them. Slingy (another forum member) also told me about this stuff called Fret Doctor. It will work on rosewood, ebony, or *unfinished* maple. I've been treating my rosewood and ebony fretboards with it for the last couple days because they dried out due to the cold weather and dry air here. Works like a charm!
