I have been slowly selling off other basses and moving towards pretty much owning all EBMM basses. I just don't play anything else since buying my first SR5 a few years ago. I have longed for a lefty fretless Stingray 4 forever and have been determined to put together enough funds to order one. However, I came across this bad boy (see link below) on line and after some quick disposing of other gear, managed to scrape up enough to hand over my visa number.

She is en route to me now! I think my addiction for EBMM basses may calm down as this will make an even half dozen in the stable! Who am I kidding! :)

I will have to get the heard together for a proper photo session as soon as the blank plank arrives! The next week will be agonizing!

Damn I wish you could find them that cheap in the UK. A 2nd hand lefty fretless sure is a rare find! Awesome.

It certainly took awhile to find one. I've said it before but EBMM treats us lefty's pretty good considering how few are probably actually made for the market. None of my basses are "special editions" or limited in any way but each one has a very custom feel to it and each has its own character despite them all having amazingly consistent build and quality.

Thanks guys. I received my tracking number today and the expected delivery date is tomorrow which seems pretty fast for Fedex ground service. Of course Seattle is only about 2 hours away. I am so excited to play a fretless Ray. I messed with a righty once in a shop but it had flats on it and was of course, "backwards" so I couldn't really get a feel for it.

I have a frankenstein Mexi jazz that has been converted to fretless and tired to like a Carvin fiver fretless for awhile that I have since sold, but I just couldn't get away from the fact that a simple SR4 H has the tone I hear in my head as a perfect fretless tone.

This is truly going to keep me up at night until she arrives safe and sound! :)

Found out she was born 2003-03-26. What other company will give you an exact birth date for your instrument within a day! I am constantly blown away by this company! :)
