Fretless SUB Basses

Being a SUB Bass fan, does EB make a fretless 4-string version? If so, does anyone know where I can get my hands (and fingers) on one? :)

You'd be hard pressed to find one at retail, but if you want one, any of your friendly board members who are dealers would be more than glad to order one for you.

Lined or Unlined fretless?

:) Thanks for all your input. To celebrate my birthday, I'm going to get myself a White Fretless SUB. Do all the fretless models have unlined fingerboards?
 
According to all the company literature I stole while everyone else was having eclairs, the SUBs come with unlined boards only.

Someone correct me if that's not right, but that's what I seem to be seeing.

How delightfully strange. Most other budget line fretless basses come only lined.

That's cuz "most other budget line fretless basses" are sourced in such a manner that all the necks are ready for fretting, probably being made in a different factory in a different province at a different time from the rest of the bass. SUBs are made in the 'all under one roof' smaller factory system, so cutting grooves for frets would be something that cost time and money. By leaving that step out, the grooves don't need to be filled [which would make lines].

All of which shows one more time that the SUB line is a remarkably good buy [and so I'm amazed I don't have any SUBs, but that's a fish of a different kettle].

Guess I should throw in my gratuitous plug for Ebanol fingerboards here? Having an Ebanol FB would really set the FL SUBs apart, giving them an identity that isn't thought of as "below" the StingRays, but as just plainly different, maybe even as something extra special, and which by good fortune just happens to cost less to produce.
