My brother was over in Duai and dropped off my axix ss. Onlt thing was the frets tarnished a little.


Q - what grade of wool do you polish them up with?

id say the 3m pad only because that steel can get all over the pickups and its a pain in the butt

I just use the blue painters tape on the pickups, and if I get any steel fibers on the pups in the end I just carefully blow them off with little spurts of canned air, or my litttle air compressor.

It's no big deal, really.

3 m pad. Those small flecks of metal from wire wool are a pain in the ar*se! - well not quite in my ar*se....

...Got some embeded in my finger and was sore for weeks - couldn't get the little bits out no matter how much I dug around with a pin!!

I use a Dremel with the buffing wheel.....Nothing like bending a string on a polished fret :cool:
