Hey all, i'm leaving for school soon and the Stingray is my weapon of choice...so this must go!

This Sterling is finished in the original Pearl Blue color....very dark and cool. I have looked the bass over carefully and couldn't find any chips/dings. The neck is straight but the maple board is showing a little color but its nothing to get twisted about. All of the hardware and electronics work flawlessly, and the bass actually has string mutes that look unused!

It comes with a G&G case, a strap, and the allen key/polish cloth in the original packaging. I am looking to get $750 shipped.

Hey Brad, the one I used to have was honeyburst w/ mutes- got it from Scott. It was a sweet bass but underappreciated at the time. I am older and wiser now ;)
Wish I had it back, I was diggin the mutes......

I had a Carbon Blue Pearl with mutes, that was my first Sterling. It also had the neck plate recessed into the body and the chrome battery cover if I remember correctly. Very cool bass but too heavy unfortunately.

Yessir.... I should have kept that one..... :(

Hey we all have the one that got away stories... Mine was the 79 Ray' that I traded for a new LK2000. That was a sweet bass but a bit heavy still the LK was no light weight either.....They come and they go but my Sterling is a keeper.....

Tiff, let us know if this could be a contender for a late birthday present from the forum

mark thanks for looking out!!
the colour is probably a little dark for me and is too close for comfort to my old not-worth-naming bass.

im still hoping and looking out for a dawn:eek: if all else fails im slowly wearing phatty down:D

what does the neck look like?

cosmetically, it's perfect. i can't find any dings or scratches. the maple board could stand to be cleaned a bit i guess but that isn't unusual for a sterling this age.

physically, the neck is straight and the truss rod is functional.

i was wondering about figuring because alot of those earlier necks are pretty flamed/birdseyed

oh my bad, there isn't any flame or birdseye in the neck. just straight up maple.
