My other thread got pretty cluttered. Tryin again.

Looking to trade my EBMM HD-500. In great condition. Ill consider most heads of equal value. Not really interested in SWR. Just not my thing. Will more than likely accept a reasonable cash offer.

No.

I have it listed at the Pit, and TB. Gotten some bites. Nothing that really grabbed me yet.

I may have a buyer lined up if I dont get a trade.

Guys, this is a SMOKIN' head. I was over there last night and played through it. Tone for daaaaaaaays. That LVR knob really throws a nice kick in it too. Someone needs to grab this one.

I had always wanted to try one of these, and had one for awhile after seeing it put to such good use at the Open House (could this be the same one I had??)

Super nice amp, two switchable channels and the LVR control gives you that 'one knob' variation

Hey guys!

Never had the chance to try one of those amps. Looks pretty good.
What does the LVR-knob do, and what's the hole to the left on the frontpanel?

The little window is where the preamp tube is located, and it glows RED when the amp is on. Looks mighty cool!!

The LVR is the 'Loudspeaker Variable Response' and to me it was sort of a 'master tone' control.

Here are a few reviews of the HD-500 (all good)

Few things.

Joel, thanks for the offer, but I just finalized a cash sale with an incredibly nice Pitter.

This head is really great. Not really looking to part with it because I didnt like it. It smokes. Im just feeling whorish.

Will I regret letting go of this one? Theres a good chance that the answer will one day be yes.

Hey Trav. Text me and let me know what kind of head you'll be getting. I'd hope you aren't going to gig with that Fender combo. :p

Hey, I had a M-80 combo, and I'm not old at all! real fine amp, but replaced it, although I regret I don't have it anymore

In my young and innocent days, a friend's brother sold me a Peavey TNT-"insert some number" for $50. Wouldn't let me try it out but as I opened this post, I was young and innocent... Anyways, I got it home. I was so excited. Plugged it into the wall. Plugged in my bass. Started playing. Sounded awesome. Turned up the volume, started farting out big time. I hated it, tried to take it back but since my "friend" and his brother were way bigger than me, they kept the $50 and I kept the combo. After a few months, I finally got brave and popped it open. Found some sort of a 15" E/V PA speaker in it. I finally foisted it off on some other poor soul but at least warned them that the speaker wasn't stock and tended to pass gas.

Not sure why I'm sharing this, maybe somebody somewhere out there at sometime in their lives can relate.

Not sure which EV you found, but the EVM series were found in a lot of cabs, and are some of the best out there. Peavey, on the other hand . . . . . .

What bugged me about the TNT wasn't the tone, and the weight was about average for a 15" combo. It was TOO TALL. With the handle on top, if you are under seven feet tall, it keeps banging you on the ankle, hard, with every step. I suppose if you had a dolly, it was an OK amp.

I remember that! One of the dumbest things, I thought. I ended up buying some chest handle's from Lowe's and bolting them to the side.
