I've still got a load of 80s stuff which is what I grew up with.A lot of that has great funky basslines even though the music wasn't disco/soul/funk.John taylor from Duran Duran,Barry Adamson of Magazine,Mick Karn(Japan)Pino Palladino,the swedish guy who played session bass on albums 3,4 + 5 from Roxy music (wow what a player)and my favourite Jo Dworniak,who played on a couple of John Foxx's solo albums.truly awesome feel and the reason I picked up a bass 25 years ago(and none of these had anything to do with all that synthbass pap of the time)
