Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, but I'm an active "poster" at the John Petrucci Forums and I'm a huge Dream Theater fan. John is the one who made me start to like Music Man guitars. So anyway, what are some BFR colors you'd like to see in the future?

I'd like to see the tobacco burst (if that's what it's called) that John has on one of his guitars.

It would also be cool if they made the Sunburst that John had on his prototype. It can also be seen on the Systematic Chaos special edition DVD. You could probably find more pics of both online.

I don't have any more color suggestions, if I think of some I'll post them. What suggestions do you guys have?

I believe the "Sunburst" you refer to is actually the Caramel Burst that appears on the 20th Silos.

As you can see - it really looks different depending on the light - but man is it one beautiful color!

The BFR prototype seems darker than most pics I've seen of the Silo 20th, which is why I didn't say Caramel Burst. But yeah, I guess it's just the light. Great pics btw.

And I think a Dargie Delight would look cool as well. I saw John's tech tuning his Dargie BFR before the Dream Theater concert I went to started and it looked stunning. John didn't actually use it though.

well up to this point i have not been interested in a JP even though i am a huge JP fan, but...

if you guys produced a figured top JP with a semi-translucent, multicolored version of the old picasso design i would be forced to buy at least one of these guitars regardless of the cost...

is that picasso pattern legally off limits?

could anybody photoshop one? i would love to see what it might look like in real life

I believe it's a been-there-done-that kinda situation...
JP would like to move on to other stuff, the Picasso design should be left at it is back at ibby...

The EBMM JPs are mighty fine guitars!

EDIT:
You can try asking this guy for some PS-ed EBMM JPs, he did some quite sometime ago, but the links in his thread are dead...

good one Smelly!

Future colours? I like sparkles and purple and green and pink. Old colours maybe, but way cool.

Yes, Yes, Yes...Green...definately a green. An Emerald Green BFR Luke would be cool.

My 14-year old daughter wants a Luke (not that she can play more than Smoke on the Water and a handful of chords)...and she'd love a pink Luke. ;)
