Future Music Man guitar buyer... need your advise.

Hello people:

I'm from Puerto Rico and I just put a Music Man Petrucci signature guitar in Layaway. I've heard that this is a very, very good guitar and the components are great quality but I want to know that from people that already has this guitar.

What's your feedback about this guitar?

I'm going to pay $1,500.00 with all the goodies in it.

I have two of them myself and have posted numerous times about how the "feel" of this gem got me hooked. In fact, there is only one other guitar I would ever play and it is in a very high price range. I have tried just about all other makes and this is the one that gave me that religious experience. Best guitar I have ever played and own. But beware, like me, you need more. It's a habit. I am shopping for another one now. You have spent your money wisely. Any EBMM is a wise purchase my friend.

I love mine too... The piezo is such a great option, you said you got all the goodies, so I'm assuming you meant the piezo as well.

The only thing I wish I could have been able to do when I bought mine was get one of the sparkle finishes, especially the Blue Dawn. I know it doesn't make the guitar sound any different, it's just a cool color.

And as koogie2k said, they're addictive. I'm in the market for another EB, probably an Axis this time around. Maybe I'll be able to score another Petrucci in a cool color one day.

Nice color. I like the carbon blue, graphite pearl and sapphire black myself. Rolls Burgundy isn't so bad either.

Hi:

I just got the MM Petrucci and it looks super...

I have a question.... Why this guitar comes with a gauge of 10 and is tuned one hole tone lower (D).

Is this how Petrucci uses this guitar... Can I just replace this strings with a gauge of 9 and tune the guitar to E - 440?

To be honest I'd the tens on it. Just tune it up to standard. Sometimes shipping can cause that.

I practice with my band yesterday and .... Damn!!!!...this is the best guitar I ever played...

I'm playing the Petrucci guitar through my Carvin MTS3200 with a Carvin 4x12 cabinet and it sounds super....
