FYI.... ButterCream ROCKS! (pics)

Personally, I could take it or leave it. But I really prefer guitars with bursts.

Of my 7 ebmm's only one is solid. The purple Luke. I like it. But I think a lot of folks don't dig purple guitars. Which is probably why you never see any.

Hey! I have a purple guitar! It happens to be another brand, but the color is "Deep Violet Flat". You know who likes this guitar? The ladies! Especially the younger crowd. Everytime I gig with it, girls comment on the guitar.. they love it.

So.. word to you single fellas out there.. ;)

You should see the Albert lee in BC

Now that, sir, would be a sight to see. Again, since the AL has a pickguard I'm sure that Buttercream works well with it.

I'll bet a Morse Y2D with clear pickguard wouldn't look as good in BC. ;)

Seems as if the buttercream is the same color of what GUITAR WORLD says is the most expensive guitar in the world, Jimi Hendrix's old strat, which they valued at 5 mil ( ) in the latest issue.

Looks pretty good with a maple fretboard.

Actually I was very torn as to whether I wanted to buy the BC Petrucci or the Y2D Morse. I think I made the right choice in the Morse, but I really do like the looks of the BC finish.

I know it's not the popular opinion but I like the color better without the pickguard. Very classy looking.

I agree Fred,

I once saw a PRS in that colour and the rosewood board looks fantastic against it. By far the best looking PRS I ever saw, had a natural mahogany headstock too and it was LUSH.

I'm looking forward to the call from my dealer letting me know when the ButterCream Luke he's ordered me is in. Got a feeling I'm just gonna love it!

Thanks for the pics

Man, I'm having case envy. My limited edtion Rad Red Pet didn't come with a case like that.

Ditto. Although my JP6 Limited in Envy Green came with a case that looks like you could drop it out of a plane (keep breathing, just a silly exageration of what the case looks like it could handle, I wouldn't really) and the guitar would still be in tune.

Did MM still stamp the neck plate like in 2004, and is that a decal on the back of the body below the neck plate that says: "Limited Edition 2005"?

I like it personally, I might like it better with a pickguard though, looks fairly classy. I'll bet it'll look even better once it starts to get a tad faded.

Now if only EB would start making the trans black axis in a ltd. ed. I'd be a happy camper.
