Wow! That is gorgeous! Interesting that it has what looks like a standarg Gibson style stop tail/tunomatic bridge.

So this is how BP pays for work, eh? :D :D

Albert Lee Prototype For Sale on Ebay

EB lovers.
I have listed the Albert Lee Prototype that Big Poppa built on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7344831366

This is your big chance to own THE most unique Music Man guitar ever available to the public. If you are a performing artist, you will be the only one ever on stage with this baby. If you are a collector, this will be the premier guitar in your collection.

I have one of the first silhouettes ever built (87053) made in 1987 in original fire engine red. It's my favorite.

Since I am not a professional musician, I thought I would give someone else a chance to own, play and appreciate Big Poppa's AL prototype. Don't let it get away.

I know what you mean, BP - I've had stuff flipped on me in the past. It's disenheartening, to say the least.

Actually BP, I'd say 'don't learn'. I think it's really cool that you have a company where you can easily experiment and make one-of-a-kind, really playable instruments for gifts, charities, movies, etc. Don't let one guy's quest for profit ruin the fun you appear to have...

Plus, when they end up on ebay, we regular folks have a shot at getting our hands on them! :D

Nice guitar! This woulda made one nice lookin CLB auction instrument

Yeah - given that BP doesn't seem real happy about seeing it on ebay, how about giving it back to him so he can put it up for a CLB auction?

If I suddenly get a boost in my business, I'll buy it and keep it private. It would never leave my hands! :D

hey BP, how old is that proto?? from the description of knobs being mounted on a circuit board and not on the body, and then the close up of the knobs(they look lik Bongo knobs) and then the compensated nut, was this a fairly new? and considering that you guys are doing the Petrucci neck-through too...
anywho, I'll let Mitch Merrett (Country player up here, and EBMM endorsee) know about it, he's an Albert playin' guy, maybe he can bring it back into the fold.

First off Ed Tauber is a friend and a good guy. It is his guitar to do what he wants. I made a deal with him to make a guitar and He wanted the proto. I didnt think that he was selling it this fast but it is his guitar.

This is not a country guitar. It is G scale and a fat necked war b*itch I have emailed ed and I think that with his reserve he may own it a little while longer.

Hey Ed are you coming to the open house?
