Well that certainly changes things for me! I have a SLO Ray 4H Roasted on order but I would kill to get the same in Tourquoise Pearl. Any idea if they are doing any SLO specials??

Peace,

I was told by G.C. today that they can't release them until November 18th. I was at the Manchester CT store and they had one in stock out back in the warehouse but they couldn't even show it to me. No matter how much I beg them too. Sale price on them is going to be
$1,949.00. Ocean Turquoise Pearl roasted maple neck, ebony fingerboard, black pickguard and pickup cover and double buck pickup configuration was the desciption one of the saleman gave me. MAJOR GAS!

So could you put a deposit on it before hand or no?

That's a pretty dark turquoise. I am hoping the GC version will be more like the shade used in fancy jewelry

JayDog,

Give me a call! (or email me what you want ideally) I just put in an order for a few that were available right away, they should be here next week.

Guys, from what i have seen so far there are only Stingray 4&5 options in H or HH. If anyone for EBMM can elaborate that would be killer..... im in the know but not 100% in the know.

No they would not let me. They told me the G.C. corporate gave orders to all G.C. stores that this bass was not to be put on the floor or sold before November 18th. Also I could not lay it away. I would have to pay for it in full.
I made a comment to the salesman that I think G.C. is being rather restrictive in it's policies considering there is a bad recession going on and that most musicians are not going to have $1,949.00 just laying around for them to use. And a lot of us would like to own it but would have to put a deposit on it and wait until Christmas to get it. But my words fell on deaf ears.

This seems odd in regard to not wanting to take a deposit. I have sent an inquiry into this to see if I can get what the exact direction is to the stores. I will keep you posted.

Thx!

Thanks Glen and Big Poppa. I really want this bass! And I have a G.C. gift card with more than enough to put it on hold. The one I am interested in is at the Manchester, CT store. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Guys,

what I can say is that these pieces are being produced for GC in limited quantities and there is a nice selection of really cool stuff that is getting ready to hit the stores. If you are interested in being the first in line to get your hands on some of these beauties, please contact your local GC and they should be able to help!

Thx!
