So it's no secret I'm a noob, and the majority of my time on here has been spent blowing up Kevins's PM box...Thanks kevin! Anyhow I've done some searching on the forum lookin for threads from
BP and the other EBMM staff, since they are actually involved here, about their epiphanies that led to the guitars we see today.

Specifically I'm curious where the unfinished neck idea came from, how they landed on the custom wound Dmz pickups for each model, and because I've always been a exclusive Duncan fan of humbuckers, until i tried the custom wounds, what led EBMM to Dmz.

The exclusive use of flat mount trems is an interesting difference and the regular trem versus the Petrucci trem what exactly are the differences?

Also, MOST important....the peg head configuration, it's SO cool where did it come from?

Anyhow thanks guys!

Luke

I can't speak for MM, but I believe they've always had a great relationship with Dimarzio. That said, there are models that use other pickups- Duncans in the Albert Lee SSS, EMGs in the Luke, and of course they make their own pickups as well (MM90s, bass pickups, etc.)
