Greetings, has anyone had any experience with any of the new shuttle combos offered by this company 3.00-8T or 3.00-10T. Looks pretty neat and versatile.
Tks

Not with the combos but I did just get the Shuttle 6.0 head. I have paried it with two Phil Jones 4B cabs. Works great - sounds great. A touch of high end hiss when you turn up the treble and the preamp.

I haven't tried out G-B's new Shuttle amps, but i've been a Genz-Benz GBE1200 and GB610T-XB2 user for the past two and a half years.

Great amps and cabinets.

Just got my 6.0 last week and its absolutely killer. My SR5 is just woke up and growled through this little amp. With the bass and amp set flat and running through my 4ohm Eden 410XLT, I realized I have reached a sort of tonal nirvana!

It just doesn't get much better then this!

Tried and True

I gave the 3.0 a little run last night at the local shop. It was hooked up to an Eden speaker (not sure which one, demo cab) Sounded real good, very clear and defined. Modern as opposed to vintage comes to mind, also pretty loud for such a small and light unit. For me it should do the trick quite nicely. I do not know what it would sound like with the actual Combo cab (8" or 10") since they had not shown up yet so I may just opt for the head and look to add another cab. I should make another trip today.
On another note, I did not have the luxury of having my Sterling with me but of course the clever Sales Rep handed me one of those what are they called something like a 30Th Anniversary Stingray... after this little session I am not really sure what I may end up buying.......

I tried a Shuttle 3.0 10t today. For its size this thing is amazing. I think I may have found my new amp. It does a great job of producing the lows without too much mids that most small amps suffer from. Two thumbs up.

Thanks Alex, that is good to know. My rep called me and told me that the cabs are en route, I will go give them a try when they arrive to hear them first hand, and decide from there. I was leaning towards the 8 since I see really no difference between that and the 10, but hope to try both.
Take Care

I heard that Genz Benz is coming out with an extension cab for the 6.0-12T in the summer. That might be an awesome mini stack of doom.

3.00-10 Extension

I managed to try it on the Genz Benz 10" extension cab, which is basically the same unit as what is available in the 10" combo. (neither the 8" or 10" combo speakers were in) All I can say is WOW, very impressive for such a small package. I called Genz-Benz and had Jeff call me back personally, he told me the 10" has a little more bottom than the 8". I guess I will try out the 8" when it arrives and decide then. Real nice stuff.
