I love the out of phase sound that the Albert Lee gets with the toggle switch set in the in between mid and bridge pup position. I owned an AL but had to sell it because the shape of the neck always caused my hand to cramp up. I currently have a Silo Special that doesn't bother my hand at all. Are there any ways to get my SS to sound like the AL? I figure that installing AL pups (Seymour Duncan APS-2 Alnico II Pro Flats?) in the Silo Special would get me part of the way there but are there any other tricks that you guys can think of? Thanks.

The bridge pickup up on the AL has a base plate - I don't think the silo has it ? (I may be wrong?)

On my Silo Special, it does have that baseplate on the Dimarzio bridge pickup.
I think your on the right track with the Duncans although stock the SiloS seems to get that out of phase tone
