I'm aware of the controls being fragile but has any one ever seen a high quality bag or soft case that a Bongo will fit. I tried the Contega but it's a no go. Maybe Incase ?

Road Runner from Guitar Center. The nice one with the zip-on backpack. I've used one for over a year now, with both Bongos I used to own.

iGig babg, G515 model . Found it at Miko Espanol - Bass Player, miko is a real nice guy. Have been securely moving with my Bongo5HH since, no regrets about it.

+1.

The positives for me are:

1. Protects the bass VERY well.
2. Tons of storage; most micro heads will fit in the bag (I can carry my Acoustic Image head in the bag).
3. Sit low enough on my shoulders that I don't hit the tops of door frames when I go thru doorways.

The negatives for me are:

1. The bag is a little on the heavy side; with a bass, amp head and a couple of pedals in there, it can get heavy.

Levy's gigbags are the best I think.
Quite expensive though. But hey. If you got a EBMM... you're not going to save $ on the stuff to transport it.

A gigbag for an expensive instrument? I think not.

Lol, well you go right ahead and carry your hardshell , I won't stop you:)
But honestly, a gig bag offers almost as much protection (except for heavy impact sharp obects), weighs a lot less, can hold a lot of other stuff and is very comfortable to carry.

So gig bag for my EBMM's: Hell yeah!

Thanks all, I'll check them out, I can't get the Bongo case hard case in my wife's Honda Accord (I'm without a vehicle for a while) trunk unless I fold the rear seat forward. Plus I like the flexibility gig bags offer.

Kayneex, the G515 looks like the one to go with, the internal supports look incredible, the strap design is appealing also, and storage all over the place. Thanks, Rick

You know, I got one of those Fender dual bass gig bags from Musician's Friend for $35, and am super happy with it. The Bongo fits fine in it, along with an extra bass.

I have found this one to be excellent for my needs, it's made by a company called Tribal planet Tribal Planet - Gig Bags, Cases, Guitar bags,
Very sturdy with lots of pocket space, it even has a stand that comes out of the back compartment that also stores away the shoulder straps.

Have a look at these pics.
