I just bought Joel's BC Bongo 5HH and I plan to play it. The only thing is, I don't want to beat up that gorgeous LE case. I need to get a gig bag for it.

I have one gig bag (I can't remember the brand and can't look at it right now since I'm at the office.) that I carry my DG Bongo 5 to and from gigs in and I have a Dude Pit Levy's gig bag too. My Bongo won't fit in the Levy's bag. The bass is just a little bit too long to fit comfortably.

If there are other Bongo 5 players out there that have gig bags, let me know what brand you have. I was actually looking at the World Tour double bag at samedaymusic.com and considering it for when I take two basses to a gig with me.

Thanks in advance!

Larry, my Bongo fiver fits fine in my roadrunner gigbag that can be had at GC for like 40 or 50 bucks.

I use a Levy's cm19e. Fits just right.

On a side note, this is the third gigbag I've used for this bass - the previous two ripped out at the bottom, and one of them was that $40 RoadRunner bag from GC.

That is a different model than the Dude Pit gig bag. I'll look into those too. Thanks!

I use an under cover gig bag, and I like it:)

I've got a Levy's leather gigbag that will hold a Bongo 5 just fine.

I also use a Mooradian double bag that holds both of my Bongo 5s.

+1 on the CM19. My fave general purpose bag, so I have 3 of these.
Not only is it a bit longer, but it has bit of a "sidewall" to its design,
so you are NOT depending on the zipper to carry the load at bottom
of the bag [or anywhere else].

Edit: OOOpzez .... just caught the zombie alert. But I still recomend
the CM19 anyway and BTW it's about $20 more than most other
"non-exotic" bags.

I use a Levy's cm19e. Fits just right.

I have the World Tour double gig bag, and have been using it for my SR5 and other backup bass without any issues for the past year. I'm not sure how a Bongo 5 would fit though. Is it much longer than an SR5?
