Figured I'd share this with some of you guys as there hasn't been much written about the Big Al Single H's.

These are from a gig I did on Friday night recorded with a Zoom H2 recorder.

Terrible bass and rig. I can't imagine being able to get a single good tone out of all that...

/sarcasm off

Seriously, tho... When it comes to choosing which bass you'll use, is it a mood thing or do you have defined role for each?

Did you get rid of the RH450 (or was it a Classic 450)?

It has much more of the distinctive MM tone than my experience with the SSS Big Al. Is that how you would describe it?

That sounds accurate...the RH450 that I had seemed to have a natural push in the mids that made the SSS sound a bit more traditional Musicman like.

The Mesa M6 on the other hand is a force of nature. Never really had a problem with the RH450 while I was gigging it, but I don't think I would go back that direction.
