Chris Barham, Austin-based guitarist (with MY Strat!) and me with the newest member of my Bongo herd.

Chris, Jack, drummer Andy Alsup, Brian Lasagna (playing my Tele! What's going on here?).

The single hummer Bongo was just killing me. Loud, simple, Bongo. What else could you want?

Look, Brian! Look at my bass!

That rack has a Furman, a Korg tuner and a right nice little Sunn 1200S.

Sounds really good with that 4-10, and easy to transport.

Mosfet w/a tube front end? Haven't heard a Sunn yet that hasn't sounded good with a Ampig (I miss my old Coliseum - my back doesn't but my ears do)... so how are you likeing the single H live... is is a trip (I could believe how much the 3 band could shape the sonics... I love the 4 band on my HH but there is something to be said about the simplicity + the zing of the H) - which reminds me... how does the single H do with the B string compared to the HH???

Looking good, Jack. Did you do most of the vocals? I'm guessing they didn't put you in the middle because you're the purtiest. Then again, since it appears you own all the gear, perhaps that's your right? :D

By the way, that Tele looks sweet! Is that Sea Foam Green?

It is mosfet with a tube. I once put it this way: The Sunn 1200S answered all the questions I had about amplifiers.

The single hummer live was a pleasure. I've been seriously addicted to my black sapphire dual hummer, and really can't quite consider playing anything else. But the other night at rehearsal, we had about thirty minutes to go and I figured, "Okay, lemme see what this thing will do."

Well. Everyone agreed, it was stunning. So even though the dual H is my security blanket, and it was hard to leave the house without it, believe me, I did and don't regret it at all. Jeez, the bass is just so BIG and easy to dial in a great tone, you know?

The B string leaves nothing to be desired. I think the B on the dual H might be a bit more responsive, but that could be all in my head, too. I'm just addicted to the black dual H, in case you hadn't noticed. The single hummer killed live, though, it just killed.

Mark, in this particular line up, I try to be just the bassist but end up doing a lot of harmony vocals. The tall guy with the Tele does most of the lead vocal work, even though he complains about it. "You need to do some lead vocals!" But frankly, I'm happy doing bass and backups and would be even happier if I could just play bass.

The Tele is supposed to be Surf Green. I built that sucker myself, did the finish in my garage. Something I will never do again, by the by, but I'm proud of it.

This is the first time I've ever seen a pic of you gigging with a bass I sold you Jack! I know it barely counts what with how long I had it, but cool anyways. I'm glad you're liking it, I wouldn't mind finding an H4...

Cool photos. Is it hard to keep a grove when you have one guitarist playing grunge and the other playing country? :D

hehe...maybe we can call it grunge-country FUSION

but since we hav some bongo as well, it should be grunge-country-reggae fusion -get it?...bongo...reggae...? :p

I sure wish I could have been there to hear it, but I just couldn't bring myself to miss my first golf outing of the season. And Jack can tell you that the weather here was absolutely perfect yesterday. The first thing I though when I saw those pics of that tele was how great it looks. Good job on that one.

That was in front of Coppell City Hall. (Nice hard surfaces for lots of interesting acoustics, but actually the sound guy did a decent job.) Brian always looks like that when he's not pretending to be a big executive type person. Chris always looks like that - and I always look like that.

Do we need to be more uniform, fashion-wise? I hope not.

Nice pics, Jack.

I need a hat like that, but my head is like a giant melon. :(

Do they come in space helmet sizes?

Good eye, Jon! I wondered if anyone would spot that.

Jason, that's a Kangol and I ordered it online from some hat shop. It was long, long ago, but if you need me to Google it, I shall.

My head is BIG. So if it fits me, I assume a XL would probably work for you, too.

I downloaded one of those online hat sizer things and my head was bigger than its largest size. And, it was in the correct scale, too.

Big. Head.

I can google with the best of them, Jack. Rest assured.

Just fear my giant kepala.
