I think this might have been during soundcheck. and incase you're wondering where the amps are: the guitarists were using line 6 stuff and just went straight into the mixing desk and then obviously had the monitors facing the audience and two on stage and I had to go straight. Sadly I couldn't use my simple DI because although I tried explaining, the soung engineer didnt understand and didnt know what an XLR cable is. but then it was a talent show run mainly by students apart from the music teacher and an amazing classically trained pianist that I used to play with who has tons of knowledge and experience and set the sound engineer in his place when he said that its difficult "no doing this for a 30 piece orchestra is difficult" that shut him up :D. Anyways like i said it was great fun and was the first time i got to show off the bongo infront of 100 - 200 people and we all managed to click together, get the audience clapping and some people were even wooing and shouting for me when i did a little bit of a solo thing :)

hope the photo worked I'll post more when I get more from people but that might take longer

here's the other one and if you're wondering why i'm not rocking out it's because no one told me there was a smoke machine right in front of me and so I had smoke all around me lol :) and yes i do have scary looking fingers but they get the job done!

Love the first shot... almost looks like you've got it choreographed!

Post these to the huge "official" gig pics thread so they'll be preserved for posterity.

Also nice to see a young person who has the good sense to wear the bass up where it ought to be instead of down around his knees.

Thanks :) yes the bongo likes that high and so does my playing! In the first shot i think we were all just facing that way because the mixing desk was on that side of the stage and my unofficial personal assistant was being professional as usual and asking me if i needed my tuner again. and i'll post them now

That's awesome man! The pics look great. Your music tastes and instrument choice makes you seem like a vet already! Wish I'd a started off that solid! Keep it going, you're on the right track.
