He used to play bass with human femurs.

I think the only reson he stopped is the supply ran out. Time to re-up the inventory?

Where did I put those?

Maybe playing by ear might be eaiser as they will fit in the case.

Yes...the place is a complete dive....the stage is about as big as a coffee table...hahahaha....

Let's see....

Bandana....not cliche....I shave my nugget and the lights get hot and it keeps the sweat out my eyes....plus, I don't want to be responsible for blinding a bunch of would be fans....;)

Pick = wrong? Maybe...maybe not. I actually play with a pick now (femurs were getting heavy and ears are too flimsy) and with my fingers. Depends on the song....we don't do covers so I make it fit the orginial. I actually envy the finger style players and I really put a lot of time and practice in trying to perfect it....not comfortable enough yet to do that full time.

My teeth...uh...thanks. :D

Thanks everyone....it is so much fun being on stage and playing EB's....life is good.

Don't envy us finger players - nothing right or wrong about either style...

I mention this because in my "first" incarnation as a bass player in my youth I was a damn fast player, though I relied heavily on hammer-ons & pull-offs for the fastest passages (my picking couldn't keep up). I knew finger-style player that was so fast he blew my mind. I tried to make the switch but got frustrated and put the bass away for many, many years. Rather than becoming "challenged and inspired" I became discouraged.

Anyhow, sounds like you're on the right track, playing what fits the style.

And looking good doin' it! :D

So, what happened to the audience?

There is supposed to be an audience??!?! LOL....we had some peeps there...just when I come off the stage in my thrashing around mode...people tend to run from me...hahahaaha....

Spider Stack....well, it isn't his....he is a tube amp guy....and he was just grateful to be able to use it.

The boots are cool, the bandana a bit cliche, the bar looks like a major dive, if you're playing with a pick - that's wrong, the basses are awesome, and you have good looking teeth.

There is nothing wrong with a pick! I use a pick about 5% of the time. It is used to get a different bassy click sound on songs where that dynamic is needed.

If you are a player that uses dynamics (which all should be, not every song is the same) you will use different techniques....i.e. fingers, pick, plucking, slapping, power tools, your nose..... whatever is needed for the mood.

Also how about just giving a simple kudos to the guy that wants to show off a passion instead of being a dork and ripping his passion apart....

Here is one of my pics. You may go ahead and rip me on this one....
