Just got in from a gig where I played my BC Bongo through my GK rig. This set up absolutely rocks. The gig went great. The place was pretty full and would have been packed except for the rain and people out of town for spring break.

I'm really diggin' the GK 1001RB-II with the Neo 212 and Neo 115. It definitely has the GK growl going on. Plenty of volume too. Here a pic from the gig tonight. Next week: Friday and Saturday at Willhoites in Grapevine, TX. It is a great venue, even if the stage is small, because it is always packed.

Man, you look like you are in the Zone Larry!!!! Great pic, good to hear you like the GK rig. For maximum growl put the boost knob at 1 o'clock minimum. For max headroom leave the 5 string button out, you probably don't need it with the Bongo anyways.....

Looks like you and the crowd are having fun.

Looking at you reminds me of what Jamerson used to say when he felt he was playing well, "I was gittin' it"

What sort of music you play?

Sorry, I crashed right after I posted that.

We play covers. Anything from Elvis to Third Eye Blind and lots of music in between. You can click the link in my sig and see our song list to give you a better idea of what we do.

Thanks for the tips Randy. I'll have to look, but I think I do have the boost knob at about 1 o'clock. I'll set the 4/5 button to 4 the next time and see what that sounds like too. The one thing I'm not really feeling is either the prescence setting or the contour settings. Any suggestions?

Looks like a fun gig Larry. Like I keep saying, next time I'm out visiting my aunt and uncle in Austin, I'm gonna have to make a trip up to Dallas.

I am so glad you shared some gig photos. You look like one slick dude with your Bongo. It is like the negative photo image of the Les Paul.

Thanks Lisa. I hadn't noticed that about the Bongo and the Les Paul but it does kind of have a ying yang feel to it, doesn't it.

BTW - Welcome back!

Rockin Larry. That rig was great with the Rays and Sterlings, but I really think its a perfect match for the Bongos. Gald youre diggin it. Great pics.

Great photos, Larry!

I've noticed that the presence & contour knobs don't seem to change the tone much until after about 12 o'clock or so. If you max them out, you should be able to hear the difference. I leave mine set flat (all the way to the left).
