Gig Spam- Live World Wide Web Cast

Probably one of the most underutilized resources in the communications field is Cable Access Television. Let’s see what we can do to fix that.

I have another television show coming up that you can watch because the TV station streams their programming on the world wide web.

Friday July 21st at 6:00 PM MST *
You can watch by pointing your browser to:
http://access.tucson.org/whatsontv/watch_online/

Then click on:
Watch Channel 72/97

You will need a player that can support RealMedia 9 or better video streams, such as RealPlayer.

Here is your chance to see what a crappy guitar player I am. You will be able to sit in front of your computers with your arms folded and say things like, “I can do it better than that.”

If you didn’t know, The NorM Show is a solo electric instrumental guitar act. I have several backing tracks that I play over kinda like karaoke for guitar. Some of the backing tracks I found on the internet and other places and some I did myself. I like the backing tracks because the band is always there and I don’t have to help the drummer carry drums.

Songs I am wanting to put on the set list that you might know:
Surfing with the Alien
Vista Grande
Rock n Roll Hoochie Coo
Ave Maria
Cathedral
Midnight
Crush of Love
Simple Simon
Point Counterpoint
Moonlight Sonata (Sorry not the “Skull Crushing” mix that’s on the CD)
And some original compositions too.

I hope you can join in.

*MST = PDT in the summer. Arizona still doesn’t do daylight savings time.
6:00 pm MST = 6:00 pm on the West coast
6:00 pm MST = 9:00 pm on the East coast

I am getting some flack cause I am only playing one guitar at home (The old grey SiLO). I love the Steve Morse idea that one guitar does everything for the show. Still I want to bust out the y2d and do a little something something on the SiLO Bass Guitar. The Blue Dawn is my #1 guitar but If I play that one it might piss off BP so that's what I'll do.

What guitar would you like to see? For you, anything.

NorM,

I think BP will agree when I say I'd like to see you playing a F@nder.

:D

Is it possible to heckle a webcast?

Norm I'd like to see the Silo Bass, I have a feeling that it will get good reception from views from this forum.

Play whatever you feel man, your set list looks great.

I thought I changed the title cause the old one was just to artsy fartsy. Turns out I just added a title to the first post. OK so let's try this:
I like to hear myself talk!
