Travis ~ at the risk of getting flamed for bringing this to the board instead of EBCS first, what's wrong with the bass?

Well first off, it is used, and was sold to me as in "excellent" condition. This bass was actually a gift from my father for Christmas. He let me select the bass, and he got me the money to pay for it.

Theres a slight crease in the finish, under the clear coat about an inch long. When I first played the bass, I set it flat and tweaked my amp, since I was sitting by it. All was great. After posting my initail review, I decided to go play some more, only to find the bass knob on the 3 band eq wasnt working right, really at all. So after a day trying to get things sorted out, I have been in touch with customer service first, and will have to ship it out to be repaired.

That sucks! I hate getting screwed by anyone but MrsShamus!

At least it'll come back ready for action, and you do have other basses to hold you over...not that that's supposed to make you feel better.

Dammitall!

Here's the way I really look at it, in the big picture an EBMM bass ain't that expensive (for what you get, compaired to all the custom, high end, made out of morningwood and all that jazz) it's not an investment in stock, or gold, it's an instrument.... you know, designed to be played!

I'm not saying you shouldn't be very careful with it! I hate blemishes or any damage, but it's an instrument, you have to touch it to play it! There are better ways to invest money for profit. Keeping a high quality instrument under your bed for thirty years only to (after inflation) make a modest, at best, profit, seems to me to be a waste of years enjoying a great ax!

I have several basses, but I'm not a collector, I just like to have a stable of great basses and I think I have one.... and I don't even have my Bongo yet!:D :D :D

Yup. Nothing worse than feeling like I got screwed, and the other party acting as if these issues were my fault. hey lots can happen in 24 hours, when a bass is out of its case for about 15 minutes.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that, but rest assured, the fine folks at EBMM will help you out!
