Give An Inch: No More Exceptions

Ladies:

I have made a few exceptions to the rule about 25 posts to take advantage of the For Sale thread, and - trust me - I'm paying for it. You cannot imagine how many PMs I'm now getting about making yet another exception.

So without further ado, I hereby declare that it is no use to PM me about this, even if you've been loitering for years and even if the bass seems particularly cool and worthy of staying amongst the forumites.

I have learned my lesson and I hereby repent. Rules is rules.

I have over 25 posts but I just can't imagine ever selling any of my Music Man basses. I loves them all.

If you can be bothered with a little tinkering, just insert another rank between Newbie and Junior and limit posting in the For Sale threads to the new "Not-so-Newbie" (?) rank and above. The only thing to keep an eye on would then be those guys that spam the place with 25 one-liners in a few hours just to gain access to the FS thrads.

I post by phone here all the time on a DROID no less...I thought the Iphone I had was a lot easier to use than the DROID is. Too bad the service SUCKED or I would probably still have my Iphone! You could also try Talkbass to sell your bass. I have sold over 100 there in the last few years...NEVER had a single problem in that time. WELL worth the cost to be a contributing member JUST for the For Sale area in my opinon. I don't participate their like I used to as I prefer it over here but I still cruise the For Sales everyday... good Luck with your sale!

Well, I don't have internet access and can't post here too much.

Seeing that troops in Afghanistan and that teenage girl who sailed her yacht around the world solo have internet access I find that hard to believe. I've been to some pretty out of the way places in third world countries that have internet cafes on every corner.

Heck, I got to 200 in just over 5 1/2 years.

I just was being overrun with PMs on this issue and at some point it becomes simpler to just say, "Look, there are rules." And 25 posts, man, I've done that in one NIGHT.

I agree. I joined here in April and currently have well over 200 posts. I probably did 25 in the first week alone.
