I've got a friend who's going to buy the GK 1001 rb2. He's asking me the difference between the combo with the 2-12 neo's and the straight head with the seperate 2-12 neo cab. When I checked them out it seems that it's about the same money either way. Does one sound better than the other? I know there is a lot of GK enthusiasts out there, in fact I play a 800 rb2 myself but I'm just not familiar with combos. Thanks in advance for your help.

I tried them both before I bought the combo. No real difference in the sound, convenience with the handle and wheels won out.

I bought a stack, some N.Y. clubs make you bring your own gear. some have speaker cabs. for you to use. when playing a live gig..... i'm sorry to say your at the mercy of the sound guy. it dosen't matter what rig you use. he usually plugs you into a d.i. box. like i said before in most venues your rig becomes a stage monitor. if your playing those kind of venues he's wasting his money.
