I'm going to San Antonio and Austin this weekend to see 30 Seconds to Mars. While I'm there, I plan on hunting down some EBMMs to try. I'm excited to try some as I've only played a Morse briefly. If I like one, I'm not going to wait to sell the Koa Schecter. I'll just buy it and sell the schecter later.
I'm kinda' leaning toward a Y2D. Anybody want to sway me towards a color? I like the tobacco, but kinda' like the blue (de-purple) as well. With regards to looks, I always try to picture myself playing the guitar in a dungy, smokey old night club and then at church (I know, kinda' weird), because I figure that covers both ends of the spectrum.
Thanks,

Ummm.... The regular Purple Sunburst is in my opinion the golden middle between the tobacco and de-purple :D ...I'd go for a De-Purple though ;)

I'd toss a coin.. both Tobacco burst and De-purpleburst are amazing finishes!

Sorry I've been no help!

Well, I went to Austin on Saturday morning and had the chance to check out a guitar center there. They only had 2 ebmms, both being axis guitars (non-floyd).
First, I tried out some PRS guitars: nice necks, but the finishes on the necks made them real sticky. Tried out a few gibsons (sg standard and les paul): sg was ok although it wasn't set up very well as I've played a nice sg standard before. The lp was nice, but heavy; felt better than the sg.
Then I went for the axis with a maple fretboard: nice, although the neck had more of a satin feel and the fretboard was very dirty.
Next, I went for the axis with the rosewood top and rosewood fretboard and neck. I absolutely loved it. It felt like nothing else I've ever played, that and the neck made me think of chocolate plain cake do-nuts! It was awesome. So I plugged her in and the bridge p/u wasn't working; the salesman told me that he had to soder it correctly. All of the other p/u selections sounded real good. But man, I just can't get over that neck. I wish they had other ebmms to try and I really want to wait to purchase one after trying other models, but that neck, Oh my! I just can't get over it.

I thought the xact same thing when I tried one :D It felt better than my maple neck Super Sport, but I didn't like the sound as much.

So I plugged her in and the bridge p/u wasn't working

Funny, it was the same situation with the one I tried at my local store... the bridge HB sounded like a single coil and buzzed like CRAZY..

Still, the Rosewood Axises are incredible guitars...drool. :)
