Different gauge strings will require tweaking the intonation - and the truss rod too.

If the guitar doesn't have a fixed bridge, may have to tweak that as well - just depends on how different the gauges are and how much the string tension has changed.

I use those on my les Paul... Didn't have to adjust much, but- fixed bridge and neck like a tree trunk... :)

That guitar is always tuned 1/2 step down, usually in drop D (in this case, drop D flat-- before I get 'corrected' ;) )

depends how much tweaking it will need depending on the gauge you are coming from?? if you are coming from say 9s then it will need truss rod and intonation set, if you are going from 10-46 you might need a small truss rod adjustment.. also if its a Floyd guitar then you may need to add a extra spring in the back.. and then some guitars i have seen not need anything touch.. just depends on the guitar.
