Hello my fellow forumites,

just a little note saying DT is playing in Antwerp, Belgium tonight, so I'm going to see them tonight!! Very excited to see what new guitars JP will be playing and excited to see the Bongo 6!! Go Myung!

I'll try and take some pics...

T.

PS. This place has two concert halls next to each other... The other hall has Gwen Stefani playing tonight... I just hope JP turns his amp up to 11... :p

I was at the Warsaw gig on Tuesday. They were absolutely amazing. The production, lights, setlist, interaction with the crowd. All was top notch. Prepare yourself for a real treat :)

The production has taken a quantum leap for this tour. It's fantastic.

Also, they seem to play better and better on each tour. It's amazing. I thought they were on fire the last time I saw them in NYC in 2006. This last show I saw on August 13, 2007, was an even better performance.

My summer was like that. Toto, Dream Theater, Deep Purple, then in the early fall, Desert Domination. (As a bonus, I got to see Steve Vai too.) If anyone is undecided about seeing any of the Music Man artists, I highly recommend seeing them.

I took my 12 year old daughter to see them a few months ago. It was my 10th time seeing them, and they were as tight as ever. Well JLB, did flub a couple of lines to one song... but I'll give him a pass, I don't know how he can remember all the lyrics to those songs especially when they change their set so much. Hell I don't know how any of them can remember all the licks and changes and stuff.

Hey ! I was at the same show (Antwerp) !

It was an awesome show !!!

I liked the moment where JP threw Mike's drum-stick back :p 't was funny

I only have pictures from Petrucci's rack and the traffic light which was hanging above the stage. Pictures were taken with a cellphone , so the quality isn't that great... During the show I couldn't take pictures because I couldn't hold my cellphone steady lol :p

I hope TwAn has some nice pictures from "the guys in action".

Btw, TwAn, did you like Symphony-X ? The sound really sucked during their show...

As Crimson Sunset says: it was a great show! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pics, but I'll give a short review...

Symphony X: the sound really sucked, the guitarplayer thought he was Yngwie in disguise... He played a zillion notes per second, but it was all just a blur... I didn't like 'm...

Dream Theater:
JP played BFR's all night, Ruby, Walnut, Blackburst... All of them... Well, we all know he's incredible and he still is! His solo's with Jordan Rudess are just jawdropping...

John Myung played a Bongo 6 all night, he had a black and a silver one... Again, an amazing bassplayer, but he has a hard time moving around on stage... :)

Mike played his hart out... You can tell he always enjoys himself on stage...

James... well... He has a great voice, but I don't really care for his singing... DT is just better when he's not singing... (just my opinion)

Jordan is magnificent, he's really getting into it, trying to get the crowd to cheer, great stuff... I took a friend of mine, who is a pretty good piano/keyboard player, to the show... He hadn't seen anything like that before...

The show and lighting was amazing, some great images on the videoscreen (which I'm not gonna talk about, I don't want to spoil the fun for you guys who still have to see 'm...) But I have actually been laughing out loud during the show! :D

Great show, great musicians, great music, great crowd... I went home completely sattisfied, hope they'll be in Belgium again some time soon!!

When I saw them, he and JP did some unison stuff at Center Stage with JR on the keytar. Man, that was sick!

Lol that is pretty funny.

Gwen Stafani better not be heard lol. I can see it now. Being in the hall that Gwen Stafani is at, and you just hear John Petrucci bust out with one of his solos. Ah how great.
