So I just bought my tickets earlier today for the Steve Lukather show on October 29th at the BB Kings Blues club in NYC. I ALSO bought a Yngwie Malmsteen ticket show at the same place for December 1. Two guys I have not seen yet. I am kind of looking more forward to Luke however, dont know why. I ALSO bought my freakin pick ups finally. I went with both the DiMarzio BREED models. Now I just have to get my brother to help me put em in since he's sort of a technician. He used to solder stuff when he was 6 years old at our grandfathers house. Well anyway, the LUKE show I am going to is at 10:30. There is an earlier show, but I picked the later one because I am sure he will have more time to play freely and do extra stuff since nothing else follows that. So is anybody else going to this particular 10:30 show???

P.S. Now that I think about why I am looking forward to seeing Luke more than Malmsteen is because he plays the best guitars EVER!!! Wasnt that obvious before? Whatta HELL is wrong with me!!! :p :D ;)

P.S.P.S I just realized that I am past the 100th post. Do I get a free sparkly color EBMM geeeeetar????? :p :p :p :D

I saw Yngwie on the last G3 tour. Not a lot has changed with him. Still blazing fast. Still has a wall of Marshalls behind him. Still wearing a long leather coat and leather pants. Still wearing the same white boots he had on in the 80's.

He hasn't missed a dinner bell though.

None the less, it was a great show.

You'll enjoy Luke. Some of the slower stuff he does with vibrato sounds so cool.

He also does some of the best hendix and Jeff Beck covers around. Really pays homage to those guys. Landau too.

And it being New York, he may accidentally let some profanity slip out. :D

You'll really enjoy going and seeing Luke play, the cat rips it up on stage, the dude is a freak, some of these young buck guitarists could learn a thing or 2 from Luke.

Hope you have fun.

Scott.
