Just out of curiosity why do you not put gold hardware on any of your guitars, and have you guys ever considered making it an option ?? I think gold hardware would look very good on most EBMM guitars. Especailly on the Rosewood Axis, and Axis SS.

I'm glad they dont - I hate the way it tarnishes and wears through - it can make a really nice guitar look cheap and nasty

actually we would love to offer gold. here is why we dont

The consistancy between the different vendors and suppliers is poor

the price to do it right is prohibitative that is why everyone responded to this thread so negatively. So many of the gold guitars are done poorly and just dont last. They look good for about 6 months

No offense but I hate Gold or Brass or anything of that colour tone on anything!!!!
Please don't ever ruin an EBMM with that!

Guys, while we're on the topic of parts, is it possible to just order parts from EB? I haven't been able to find an easy way to do it. I'd love to have some spare parts on hand in case something wears out or breaks over the next 20 years.

I've already run into this with one of my other guitars where the nickel finish on a very unique set of tuners is in pretty bad shape. Unfortunately, I can't get replacement tuners as they aren't made anymore. I don't want to risk this with my JP. Thoughts?

It would be a perfect world if we could pick one player as the standard bearer for our stuff. We have evolved into the company that offers more choices enabling each and everyone of you to be happy...some hate 22 frets, love 24 frets, humbucking or single.
IF we find a way to offer black or gold parts that will be fabulous, we'll offer em.

Im not baggin on you, I love the passion for what you like. I'm just saying there is nothin wrong with choices. One mans mermaid is anothers anchovie. Gosh that was pretty good if I do say so myself....improvise baby
