Hey guys,

Just shot some pics of my very first (but surely not last) ball. I have to say I am truely amazed by the incredible overall quality of this guitar... It is surely a keeper.

Also, does anybody have any tips on how to set up the action on a multi-saddle bridge? I know how to do it but I can't seem to find a good balance between all the strings so that I can get the buzz-free action I want.... I've been used to a little buzz on my other axes but this one as such a sweet tone that I really want to let her sing, any ideas?
EDIT: All buzzes seem to pop out between the 9th and 12th fret. Does it mean that my neck is ''too' straight? It is indeed straight as an arrow... watcha think?

Anyway, here are some pics. I named her Goldie.

Loosen the truss rod a 1/8 turn to put a hair of bow in that neck and see if that rids the buzz. If not try another 1/8 turn. If that doesn't do it - then seek some help!

BTW - that is one stunning guitar! Noice!!!

Yup, what Norrin said. A tad relief should fix it. Nice Special, congrats.

It was funny that you posted this thread man. MikeVT's been calling my new Silo Special Goldie too, so when I read your thread and post, I had a laugh. :)

Very nice Silo Special - and welcome to the Canadian contingent of the EBMM forumites!

If you need the name of a good luthier to take a look at and set up your Silo just send me a pm and I'll be happy to suggest one.

On the other hand, there is a lot to be said for working through the set up process yourself. It takes some time and trial and error, but if you're careful you can't do the guitar any harm, and you will then be able to get it set up just the way you like it for years to come.

Cheers,

Jbert

neck relief....meh.
A neck should be as straight as can be.
Follow the radius of the fretboard as a guide for the indvidual saddle heights.
