Hi!

I was wondering if any of you know of any good values for an amp of 30-65 watts. Mostly used for rock, lots of affects, durable, and has great sound!!!:D

Any info is appreciated:rolleyes:

Look into anything line6

For tubes, I know of a Peavey Ultra 212 that's 65 watts. no effects, but 3 channels and a very nice sound!

SGMan88,
My recommendation would be a Traynor YCV40. All tube, great tone, no effects though other than built in reverb. Didn't break the bank either.

If you really want/need onboard effects, then I don't have whole lot of experience other than playing some in the local music store. From the ones I played, I was fairly impressed with the Behringer line. Effects out the wazoo and really decent tone for a solid state amp. Pricewise they're a real bargain too.

I prefer my tube amp along with my pedal board for effects, but hey, that's just my opinion. I'm sure others will give you theirs.

The biggest thing is to try and play through them with your guitar. All of us can give you info, but it comes down to you buying something that sounds good to your ears.

Good luck and let us know what you end up buying.

Thanx for the info guys. I went down to my local guitar dealer and I played a Line 6 65 watt. It was so sweet and what a great value that line 6 is. Not too shabby. Thinkin 'bout picking one up. Thanx again for your input!:)

Amps - 30-65 watts

The Peavey Ultra 212 or the Peavey Classic 100 are BOTH a GOOD SHOT...BUT...HERE is a GREAT AMP that - SOMETIMES - You can about STEAL ONE !!!!

...The little Peavey Bandit 65 is a 65 watt amp with a DECENT Scorpion 12" speaker...and it is a LOT of guy's CHOICE {That or a MIG 50 or a Red Bear} - and USUALLY - about the LAST STEP BEFORE getting a 1/2 stack...They are GOOD and LOUD...BUT...ALAS...It's a SOLID STATE AMP...

BUT...LOOK for a Peavey ENCORE 65......

...They LOOK JUST LIKE the little Bandit 65...But they are TUBES, BABY !!! - TWO 6L6s - so...BASICALLY, it is the POWER END of a 5150 COMBO - but with ONLY ONE 12" SPEAKER...BUT - there IS an external speaker "out" jack...

I own TWO of them - ONE I got at Garbage Center {they had NO CLUE WHAT it was, and THOUGHT it was a Bandit} - for $100.00...and I snagged ANOTHER from a Music-Go-Round - for $85.00 SHIPPED {!?!?!} - and as SOON as they got IN the DOOR here - I REPLACED the EXISTING pair of 6L6s in EACH of them with a bias-matched pair of Sovtek 6L6s, and PULLED the little 12" Scorpions - and POPPED IN a CELESTION 12" 30 watt speaker in EACH...

...so - NOW - I can run EITHER with the ENCLOSED Celestion - OR - run ONE OF THEM, and use the SECOND with the Celestion as JUST an EXTERNAL extra CAB !!!!!

They "BROWN OUT" VERY NICELY, and at 60 watts, and TWO of the Celestions - it is a BUDGET 5150 COMBO !!!!
