I read that about a month ago or whenever it was posted. Dan O'Brien is my favourite writer there, hands down!

My problem with this article, setting aside from the fact that it's a satirical piece, is they call Dream Theater "Thrash Progressive Metal". Since when? Seeing as that part doesn't seem to be a part of the actual joking contained herein.

And I would TOTALLY buy a "Mushroom Sword" album. LOL.

Dream is heavily influenced by Metallica, specially the later albums sound a lot like them to me. Don't take me wrong, I like both earlier Metallica (love Ride the Lightning) and DT. If one had to name a sub-genre for their metal incursions (taking away the prog elements), trash would be close IMHO.
