Good news... and very bad news

Okay, here goes - my Sil Special is just about to be delivered to my house - this is the same Sil Spec I have had a few problems with - EBMM have resolved those issues and according to the distributor Strings and Things have produced a stunning instrument for me - its a Sil Special in Rolls Burgundy, matching stock, pearloid pickguard and piezo. Now the bad news - as you can see from my location, I'm several thousand miles away from my house and will not see this guitar until next May or thereabouts - not good.
To cheer me up, I'm picking up a PRS McCarty IRW tomorrow I've been paying off for a couple of months - I'm hoping that will make the very long wait bearable. I'll post pics eventually of the Sil Special...

I would love to, but I already have my fave strat with me and am getting my new PRS tomorrow - shipping will start to add up for next year. On top of that, after the various problems I've had with this guitar (and I'm attaching no blame whatsoever to EBMM who have tried their best to help throughout) , I point blank refuse to trust it to any international carrier. I would rather store it until I eventually get back - these guitars last a lifetime, so I will get years of pleasure from it. Also, I may well be tempted by yet another axe while I'm here...
