Good price for a Bongo 5HH unlined fretless?

Is $990 a good price for an unlined fretless Bongo 5HH w/piezo? There is a Egyptian Smoke Bongo 5HH unlined fretless on eBay with a starting bid of $990 and a buy it now of $999. It seems this bass would run around $1700 brand new since it's probably custom. The bass is in excellent condition minus a nick on the back edge.

After doing some additional research it does seem like a great deal. I just don't know if I would be able to unload my Sterling fast enough to do it.

I have been watching that bass too. I think it is a killer deal, except that I have a little trouble playing 5-strings. And fretless.

Any EB bass in good condition below 1k is a steal in my opinion. a 5 string even more so. A rare color even more so.

Get a loan. You wont regret it. Youll regret not having done so.
